DRAWING DATE FOR SPORTS TRIP RAFFLE
EXTENDED TO
MAY 5, 2008
Due to slower than expected raffle ticket sales, the drawing date has been extended to May 5, 2008. No other changes in the raffle. The time for using the travel voucher will be one year from the date of the drawing.

The dugout project has been moving forward and we are nearly ready to pull the building permits. Actual construction will be starting this fall so we will be scheduling with those who have volunteered so far. We are still looking for additional help both money and time, so contact us at www.titanathleticboosters.org.

West Salem took 3rd place as a team at the CVC District Tournament and will be taking 9 wrestlers to the State Tournament. Those wrestlers are:

BOY’S BASKETBALL - "West is...Back on Track!"

Season records Boys 5-1 Girls 4-2
Non-league records both 0-2.

Girls won Dallas invite and boys got 2nd. Rumbaugh Invitational - Boys 11th place and Girls 10th place.

The girls have broken 10 of the 11 team records. Third place at districts is the highest they have finished in swimming since the school opened. The team was missing one key member at districts or they would have finished in 2nd place.

High points of the district meet were records set by Michelle Jasmer and Mitchell McClain.

Overall it was a great season.

One final fundraiser is coming up at the end of May - The 3rd Annual Titan swim camp.

SPORTS TRIP RAFFLE – sponsored by the WSHS Education Foundation on behalf of the Athletic Booster Club for the dugout project. Tickets are $10 each for a chance to win a trip for two to a national sporting event (Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Indy 500, Daytona 500, Kentucky Derby, MLB All-Star Game, World Series, NBA All-Star Game, NBA Finals, NHL All-Star Game, NHL Stanley Cup, US Open Tennis or Golf, NCAA Final Four, BCS Championship Bowl Game,) or even a vacation trip to Walt Disney World, St. Thomas Virgin Islands, or a Cruise to the Caribbean or Alaska. Total value of package is $6500 and includes transportation to the event, hotel, rental car, and other items. Contact one of the athletic booster members to purchase tickets or order via the website at www.titanathleticboosters.org . An order form for the tickets is available on the website.
Drawing will be held on May 5th at 7:15 PM during the monthly booster club meeting. Need not be present to win.
100% of the net ticket sales go to the athletic teams and the dugout project.
